Welcome to Revizer ("we," "us," or "our"). Revizer is an AI-powered study and revision platform that turns your study material into interactive, voice-enabled question sessions with immediate feedback and progress tracking.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "App") available on the Google Play Store. Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

• Account Information — Name, email address, phone number, gender, and date of birth when you create or update your profile.
• Authentication Credentials — Password (stored securely in hashed form) or Google Sign-In tokens.
• Profile Media — Profile pictures and banner images you upload.
• Study Content — Text prompts, topics, uploaded PDF documents, and images you provide to generate revision sessions.
• Answers & Responses — Typed and voice answers you provide during study sessions.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage Data — Session progress, scores, completion statistics, bookmarked questions, and interaction events within the App.
• Device Information — Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers for analytics and push notification delivery.
• Analytics Data — Anonymized interaction events collected through PostHog for product improvement (e.g., button clicks, screen views, feature usage patterns).

2.3 Permissions We Request

• Camera — To capture images of study material for session creation.
• Photo Library / Gallery — To select images and PDF files from your device for upload.
• Microphone — To enable voice-based answer mode during study sessions.
• Notifications — To send push notifications such as session reminders and updates.

We use the information we collect to:

• Create, maintain, and authenticate your account.
• Generate AI-powered revision questions from your study material.
• Evaluate your answers and provide personalized AI feedback.
• Generate text-to-speech audio for questions and feedback.
• Process voice answers through speech recognition.
• Track session progress, scores, and completion statistics.
• Manage bookmarks, notebooks, and session history.
• Send push notifications and in-app updates.
• Analyse usage patterns to improve the App experience.
• Ensure security and prevent abuse of our services.

We use trusted third-party services to operate and improve the App. Each provider has its own privacy policy governing data handling:

• Google Firebase — Authentication, push notifications, and analytics.
• Google Cloud Platform — Cloud infrastructure and text-to-speech services.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — Cloud storage (S3) for uploaded files and generated audio.
• OpenRouter — AI model access for question generation and answer evaluation.
• AssemblyAI — Real-time speech recognition for voice answer mode.
• PostHog — Product analytics and event tracking.
• Redis — Caching and session management infrastructure.

We only share the minimum data necessary with these providers to deliver our services. We do not sell your personal data to any third party.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your data only in the following circumstances:

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. You can request deletion of your data at any time through the following means:

• In-App Account Deletion — Use the "Delete Account" option in your profile settings to permanently remove your account and all associated data.
• Email Request — Send a deletion request to [email protected] and we will process your request within 30 days.

Upon deletion, we will erase all personal data, study content, session history, and uploaded files. Some data may be retained in anonymized form for analytics purposes or as required by law.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

• Encrypted data transmission using HTTPS/TLS.
• Secure password hashing and token-based authentication.
• Server-side input validation and MIME/file-size restrictions for uploads.
• Access controls and infrastructure monitoring on our cloud services.

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

Revizer may be used by students of all ages, including children under the age of 13. We are committed to complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations.

• We do not knowingly collect more personal information from children than is reasonably necessary to provide our educational services.
