Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about Revizer — what it is, how it works, pricing, privacy, and comparisons. Can't find what you need? Email [email protected].

What is Revizer?

Revizer is an AI-powered mobile study buddy that turns your notes, PDFs, and images into interactive voice-enabled revision sessions. Instead of passively re-reading material, you answer AI-generated questions, get instant feedback, and revisit missed concepts through spaced repetition.

How does Revizer work?

You upload study material — a PDF, a photo of handwritten notes, or typed text — and Revizer generates a revision session. A voice reads each question aloud, you answer by speaking or typing, and the AI grades your response, explains any mistakes, and schedules follow-up review on concepts you struggled with.

Who is Revizer for?

Revizer is built for students preparing for exams, including school board exams, college coursework, competitive exams (like JEE, NEET, GMAT, GRE, MCAT, CAT), and professional certifications. It is also used by self-learners who want active retrieval practice instead of passive re-reading.

Is Revizer free?

Yes. Revizer has a free tier that includes core active-recall sessions. A Pro subscription unlocks unlimited sessions, longer inputs, voice revision, and advanced analytics. See the pricing page for current plans.

How much does Revizer Pro cost?

Pricing is shown on the pricing page and varies by country, billing period (monthly or annual), and any active discounts. We do not show prices inside the app on Android because of Google Play policy, but they are public on the website.

Is Revizer available on iOS?

Revizer launched on Android via the Google Play Store. iOS is on the roadmap. You can join the waitlist on the home page to be notified.

What file formats does Revizer accept?

Revizer accepts PDFs, images (PNG, JPEG) including photos of handwritten notes, and typed or pasted text. Images are processed by vision models so handwritten notes are supported.

Does Revizer work with handwritten notes?

Yes. You can take a photo of handwritten pages and Revizer's vision pipeline extracts the content and generates questions from it. Clearer handwriting and good lighting produce better questions.

Can I use Revizer offline?

Core AI generation and grading require an internet connection because they run on our servers. You can, however, review previously generated sessions you have already opened.

Does Revizer use my notes to train its AI?

No. We do not train AI models on your uploaded study material. Your notes are used only to generate your sessions and improve your personal study experience. See the privacy policy for full detail.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Data is transmitted over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and access to infrastructure is restricted. We do not sell your personal data. See the privacy policy for the full data-handling summary.

How do I cancel my Revizer subscription?

You can cancel any time from the account portal at revizer.in/account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep Pro features until then.

What is active recall?

Active recall is a study technique where you retrieve information from memory — by answering a question, explaining a concept, or writing it down — instead of re-reading it. Learning science consistently shows active recall produces stronger long-term retention than passive review.

What is spaced repetition?

Spaced repetition is the practice of reviewing material at expanding intervals — for example, one day later, then three days, then a week — instead of massing all revision into a single session. It dramatically reduces forgetting.

How is Revizer different from Quizlet?

Quizlet is primarily a flashcard platform where you either create cards yourself or import shared sets. Revizer generates a revision session directly from your original notes or PDFs — there is no flashcard-writing step — and the session is voice-driven and adaptive.

How is Revizer different from Anki?

Anki is a powerful but manual spaced-repetition flashcard tool. Revizer is AI-first: it generates questions from your source material, grades open-ended answers, and explains mistakes, so you do not write cards yourself. Advanced Anki users may still prefer Anki for fully custom decks; learners who want a lower-friction tool usually prefer Revizer.

Can I use Revizer for competitive exams like JEE, NEET, or GMAT?

Yes. You can upload your coaching material, class notes, or chapter PDFs and Revizer will generate revision sessions. It does not yet ship with exam-specific question banks, but it works on whatever source material you give it.

Does Revizer support languages other than English?

Revizer's interface is currently in English. Content in other languages can often be processed, but accuracy is highest for English material.

How long are Revizer sessions?

Sessions typically run 5 to 20 minutes depending on how much source material you provide and your settings. Shorter, more frequent sessions tend to produce better retention than long one-off sessions.

How do I request a refund?

Email [email protected] with your account email and purchase details. We review refund requests on a case-by-case basis in accordance with applicable consumer-protection rules.

How do I delete my Revizer account?

You can delete your account in two ways: use the Delete Account option inside the app's profile settings, or submit a request at revizer.in/delete-account-request. Deletion removes your personal data and uploaded study content.

Where is Revizer based?

Revizer is built from India. You can contact the team at [email protected].
